Global Business

Significant Changes in the Last 10 Years

As the globalization of the automotive industry progresses, Anden is expanding its collaboration with Denso Group’s global sites. As a result of dynamic overseas strategies, the company’s business scale and operations have seen a great deal of change in the last 10 years. Today, we dispatches experts to support Denso Group’s operations in North America and China; our engineers are sent to DIAM (Michigan, US) and DICH (Shanghai, China) to support sales expansion, and manufacturing experts to DMTN (Tennessee, US), DNMX (Monterrey, Mexico), and TDE (Tianjin, China) to support their production. We also have our own Thai manufacturing plant, ADTH (near Bangkok), to manufacture and supply products for the ASEAN and Euro regions.

Transformation to a Truly-Global Auto Parts Supplier

Anden’s relays, flashers, and buzzers have top market shares in the automotive industry. In power relays for cars, in particular, we boast the highest global market share. This result, however, still relies heavily on a large supply rate to Japanese car makers. Aiming to become a truly global supplier, we also have focused on expanding our business to Detroit’s “Big Three” since 2000, and have successfully gained business with GM and Ford. Our main factory and 4 overseas manufacturing locations closely collaborate to establish a complementary supply system, answering the demands of markets throughout the world.

Business Development in Emerging Countries

Today, a remarkable growth of the auto industry is seen in emerging countries such as China and India. In China, an increasing number of auto makers are jointly working with European, US, Japanese, and Korean companies in order to win the fierce competition for market share. As for the ASEAN region, Toyota Motor Corporation and other Japanese car makers are expanding their production. The number of cars sold in China and the ASEAN region is growing and expected to double in the next 5 years. To meet this rapid growth in demand from emerging markets, we are consolidating our sales expansion strategies while establishing an optimal manufacturing structure centering on TDE in China and ADTH in Thailand.

We have always walked side by side with Toyota Motor Corporation and other Japanese auto makers in their global business strategies. Today, our globalization is accelerated by our sales expanding to both Japanese and non-Japanese car makers.
